Card Analysis: Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell

I've looked at a lot of things this format, and I've noticed the growth of decks that run 3 of a very specifically important Spell card. Today, we're going to look at a very underrated Spell card called "Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell!"

Counter Trap
Discard 1 Spell Card. Negate the activation and the effect of a Spell Card and destroy it. Your opponent cannot activate Spell Cards with that name during the rest of this Duel.

If you've watched Yu-Gi-Oh GX, You've probably seen the episode where Bastion used this card to negate, and prohibit Polymerization for the rest of the duel. In today's game, you can probably do almost the same thing he did! Lets look at some of the matchups this card has a significant advantage against.

HERO: With 3 of just about every good Spell card ran, it's never a bad thing to run it in a side deck. Lets negate Gemini Spark or Miracle Fusion! Either we shut down a draw engine, or shut down an entire Extra Deck! Of course, you can use it against Pot of Duality in any matchup, but Spark and Fusion are the most effective cards to negate!

Dark World: No Gates of the Dark World? No problem! You slow down the deck. You can also use it against Dragged Down into the Grave, or Dark World Dealings! As long as you limit them to what they can do, you should have this matchup no problem.

Gravekeeper: As annoying as Necrovalley can be, you can prohibit it for one duel just by the negation of a card! Also great to play it against Gravekeeper's Steele! You should win if you can do it on both in one duel! As an added bonus, Malific Stardust Dragon is also dead!

There are other decks that this Seal can severely affect! To sum things up, you make more of their deck dead and you take one big part of their deck out of the equation! Sometimes, that's all you really need to win a crucial game, or even a match! Give this card a try in your side deck! You'll love me if you do.
